Dixon Yacht Design and Lateral Naval Architects Unveil Project Maverick in Collaboration with Southern Spars.

Dixon Yacht Design and Lateral Naval Architects, in partnership with Southern Spars, introduce Project Maverick—a 60-meter yacht that redefines modern sailing through its innovative design and technical prowess. This striking vessel, featuring twin 930-square-meter DynaRigs, offers a sophisticated blend of sleek aesthetics and cutting-edge performance.

With a volume of approximately 600 Gross Tons, Maverick incorporates a fully retractable vertical lifting ballasted keel, allowing for a draft range between 4 and 6.25 meters. The twin rudders further enhance the yacht's high-performance capabilities while minimizing cruising constraints, delivering an impressively flexible configuration.

At the heart of Maverick’s design is its advanced all-electric energy architecture. The yacht harnesses solar power through a 200-square-meter array, regenerates kinetic energy while sailing, and relies on an Energy Storage System to manage onboard loads and support low-emission operations. This configuration not only ensures quiet operation with reduced noise and vibration but also supports a minimal environmental footprint.

The interior of Maverick offers spacious accommodation for owner and guests. The main deck features a bright, open saloon with covered side decks designed to reduce solar heat gain. The owner’s suite, located aft, provides direct access to the flexible aft deck and an articulating stern platform for convenient water access. Two 7-meter tenders are launched and recovered via a recessed crane system, while the lower deck houses four guest cabins and a versatile fifth cabin in the foreship. Additionally, the yacht includes five crew cabins.
